July 4th Celebration

Declaration of Independence with July Fourth activities were held, starting at noon on the park's Washington's Headquarters grounds with a "Warm-Up for the Declaration" including eighteenth-century stories, jokes and riddles followed by the reading of the Declaration at 1 pm.

Dr. Marc Lorenc, Ph.D. is the Chief Public Historian at the New Jersey Historical Commission. He earned his doctorate in anthropology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and is the Director of the Dr. James Still Community Archaeology Project and Founder of Unstuck in Time Gaming.
